Spectacular Syrah Six
Member Price £129.88
And with proper autumn weather upon us, I’m thinking it’s the perfect time to put together a case of these comforting reds. In it, you’ll get a bottle each of:
- Domaine Gerin La Champine Syrah 2024 - from a small vineyard at the bottom of the famed Côte-Rôtie slopes - literally the other side of the road. It’s pure, juicy and joyful Syrah at just 12.5% alcohol (12.5%)
-
Domaine Habrard Marion Crozes Hermitage 2020 - made in the best vintages only, winemaker Laurent chooses his top Syrah grapes and bottles a special wine, named after one of his team. The Marion is everything you’d want in a classic northern Rhône red - pepper, perfume, and power (14%)
- Terre des Dames l'Unique 2020 - a tiny production wine, just three barrels made, from Lidewij’s very best Syrah and Grenache grapes. It’s inspired by Burgundy and made in the same way as the best and most expensive wines there - aged for two and a half years in large-format oak barrels. It’s dark, rich and opulent - if you like your big reds, you’ll be in heaven here (14%)
- Easthope Home Block Hawke’s Bay Syrah 2024 - a previous vintage was awarded New Zealand’s best red, this is everything you want in a good Syrah and more. It’s got intense florals, pepper and vibrant blueberry flavours, with gorgeous weight and presence (13.5%)
- Mas Calamiac Minervois La Livinière 2022 - a rich and characterful southern French red from the La Livinière appellation of the Minervois, one of the highest regarded regions of the Languedoc. A blend of 60% Syrah and 40% Grenache, made from immaculate grapes that have been farmed organically for 20 years (14.5%)
- Terre des Dames La Diva 2021 - what’s above a dame? A diva of course! This is a blend of Syrah, Grenache and a special 100 year-old parcel of Alicante Bouschet. It spends 12 months in finely-grained Burgundy oak barrels, which gives the wine a lovely softness but preserves all the amazing aromas from the fruit. It's as elegant and sophisticated as they come around here (14%)
Ordinary muggles would pay £175 for the six wines. But as a hallowed WineSpark member, you save 26% - and get special access that you just won’t find anywhere else.
If you’d prefer to mix your own case, you can check out all of our Syrah wines here.
